Fathers should be men who walk with God because God has called them to be the spiritual leader in their home. Although the father is not always the spiritual leader in the home these days, that does not change the fact that God has called fathers to be such. Accordingly, Paul the apostle writes, “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4, NASB).
Each year in America, we celebrate Father’s Day. It is a special day because it is an occasion for us to give attention to the power of fatherhood.
